Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza Sauce

Jump to Recipe

The Taco Bell Mexican Pizza is a fan favorite the same way some people like Taylor Swift. When Taco Bell took it off the menu it was either genius or the greatest blunder of all time. I think the former, not the latter. When they brought it back it sold out in days (at more than twice the old price BTW) and just made it MORE popular. That is not an accident. That is great marketing. They made it rare so you would pay double for it AND wait however long it took to get it! Smart, until we all figured out how to make it for ourselves. Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza Sauce Recipe

This one is super simple. See the recipe notes on which brand work best for this.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Mild Chunky Salsa
  • 1/2 cup Mild Red Enchilada Sauce

Instructions

  • Put the salsa and enchilada sauce in a bowl and stir to combine. That's it!

Notes

Herdez and La Victoria have a really great chunky salsa as does Pace. Any will work but it should be mild to match Taco Bell’s pizza sauce. G with Medium or Hot if you prefer but it will change the flavor a bit.
